Deleting your data

• Your Facebook Page's ID and name
• Your Instagram account's ID and username, if one is linked to that Page
• An access token that lets us publish to those accounts. It is encrypted before being saved and is never visible in your browser.
• A record of each post we published: its text, the date, and the post's ID
• The email address of the portal account that authorised the connection

• Your Facebook or Instagram password. We never see it.
• Your private messages, direct messages, or comments
• Your friends list, followers list, or any personal profile data

We request only the permissions needed to list your Pages and publish posts to them. Nothing more.

Sign in to the portal, open the Social page, and choose Disconnect these accounts.

This permanently deletes the stored access token and all connection details straight away. We lose the ability to post to your accounts the moment you do it, and nothing is retained "in case you come back".

You can also remove our access without signing in to the portal, from Facebook Settings → Business Integrations. Removing Business Opt there immediately invalidates our access token.

We recommend also using Disconnect in the portal afterwards, so the stored record is deleted rather than simply becoming unusable.

To have everything deleted, including the record of posts we published, email admin@business-opt.com from the address on your portal account, with the subject "Data deletion request".

We will confirm within 5 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You do not need to be a current client to make this request.

Posts already published to your Facebook Page or Instagram account stay on those accounts — they belong to you, and only you can remove them from Facebook and Instagram directly. What we delete is everything held on our side: the connection, the access token, and our record of what was published.
